2012 Scottish Fashion Award Winners Announced

Scotland’s fashion, design and textile talent were honoured on 11 June 2012 at the 7th annual Scottish Fashion Awards event in Glasgow.

Hosted by Alexa Chung, the event saw many of the biggest names in the British fashion industry scoop top honours. The award for Scottish Designer of the Year went to Christopher Kane, while Scottish Young Designer of the year went to Hayley Scanlan. Dashing Tweeds won the award for Scottish Textile Brand of the Year, and William Chambers took home the award for Scottish Accessory Designer of the Year.

Other winners included Tali Lennox for Scottish Model of the Year, and Stella Tennant for Scottish Hall of Fame 2012. Glasgow-born Faye MacLeod collected Scottish Fashion Communicator of the Year as the right hand to Marc Jacobs in her role as Creative Visual Director at Louis Vuitton, and fashion journalist Colin McDowell was awarded the honorary Fashion Ambassador 2012 accolade for his contribution to Scottish fashion and industry.
