Gucci Collaborates with Manga Artist Hirohiko Araki

Italian fashion and accessories brand Gucci has announced a partnership between its creative director Frida Giannini and Japanese Manga artist Hirohiko Araki. Inspired by the colour palette and graphics of the brand’s 2013 Cruise collection (with an emphasis on its floral patterns), Araki has created an exclusive Manga (Japanese comic strip) story that will embellish the windows of Gucci stores worldwide during January and February 2013. Entitled ‘Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci’, Araki’s Manga tells the adventure of Jolyne Cujoh, a student who inherits a keepsake from her mother’s Gucci collection that inspires her to embark on a journey that transcends time.
