Sass & Bide New York City flagship store: on fusing nature, art and craftsmanship

Australian fashion brand Sass & Bide have worked with architecture and interior design agency Akin Creative (responsible for the design of 20 of the label’s other stores) on the interiors of its flagship store in New York City. Located in what used to a carpentry shop at 480 Broome Street in Soho, the predominantly white 279 square-meter boutique resembles an art gallery that is invaded by nature in the form of five tree sculptures made by Brooklyn-based studio The Guild from steel and fibreglass sheathed in resin-dipped fabric.
